washing cashmere

washing cashmere

Cashmere loves water: wash it every 3 to 4 wears; it will become more beautiful over time. Hand washing is highly recommended, but you can also machine wash your cashmere, following our advice.

For optimal washing, turn your cashmere inside out, cold cycle (20° max), without spinning.

Place it in a laundry net to avoid friction from the drum.

Traditional fabric softeners and detergents containing bleaching agents and enzymes are not suitable for cashmere. Their composition could cause it to lose its color and shine.

Lay the cashmere flat on a clean towel. Do not spread it out, as the weight of the water could weigh it down and cause it to lose its shape. It is strongly recommended not to tumble dry your cashmere, nor to dry it on a heat source.

Turn your cashmere inside out and gently steam iron with a damp cloth.
